The 47-year old Hall Of Famer says his daughter is having problems, and that the media got it wrong. But, police reports tell another story, a story of a man who was taken from his Westchester home and admitted to the hospital after accidentally overdosing on sleeping pills. Times have been tough for Thomas over the past five years. He went from being a great basketball player with the Detroit Pistons to being a disgraced team president and coach for the New York Knicks. During his five seasons with the Knicks, he came under fire for mismanagement, sexual harassment, embarrassing losses and foot in the mouth disease. In April, Thomas was demoted to a scouting consultant position because the Knicks Organization still had to pay him for the remainder of his $21 million contract. Sources say Thomas was humiliated, and he thought the organization turned on him. He never once took responsibility for his own actions during his tenure as president and coach of the Knicks. With his family firmly behind him, he insists he did not try to kill himself.
